Prostamax is a synthetic tetrapeptide, Lys-Glu-Asp-Pro (KEDP), from the family of short regulatory peptides described by V. Khavinson and colleagues. It was developed in experimental work on peptides isolated from prostate tissue. In laboratory research it is used in cell-culture models to study how short peptides interact with chromatin and influence gene expression.
